The Great Sport Relief Bake Off

Fans of The Great British Bake Off will be excited to hear that the nation’s favourite baking show is set to return to their screens this time with a Sport Relief flavour.

A team of 16 celebrity bakers including Louise will take part in The Great Sport Relief Bake Off including comedians Ade Edmondson, Jason Manford, Morgana Robinson and from the world of music there is Lou, Geri Horner, Will Young, and Kimberley Walsh.

Joining them in the tent will be actors Alison Steadman and Maddy Hill, journalist John Simpson and presenter Victoria Coren-Mitchell. Sports stars Jermaine Jenas, Chris Kamara and David James will be swapping the football pitch for the heat of the kitchen and completing the line up will be Ed Balls and Samantha Cameron.

The celebrities’ baking skills will of course be judged by legendary cookery writer Mary Berry and acclaimed master baker Paul Hollywood, with the show due to be aired from January on BBC One.
Jennifer Saunders, Sarah Millican, Ed Byrne and resident Bake Off presenter Mel Giedroyc will each present one of the four hour long episodes which will see the contestants put their signature, technical and showstopper bakes under the spotlight in a bid to be declared Sport Relief Star Baker.

This ultimate baking battle will aim to raise as much cash as possible for Sport Relief and during the series viewers will also be able to follow television presenter Clare Balding on a visit to Kenya.
During her time in the country Clare visited a number of Comic Relief funded projects to show how the money raised this Sport Relief will make a huge difference to people living incredibly tough lives, across the world’s poorest communities and in the UK.

Sport Relief is back from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th March 2016.
